Terms of Service
These terms explain the rules that govern use of PocketVendor, including bookings, seller responsibilities, and manual payment verification.
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of PocketVendor’s website, customer booking pages, services, and related features.
By using PocketVendor, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the platform.
2. Accounts and eligibility
Sellers are responsible for accurate account and business information and for keeping login details secure.
- You must be legally able to enter into these terms.
- You must not create an account using false or misleading information.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
3. Bookings
PocketVendor provides tools that allow customers to request bookings with independent sellers.
The seller, not PocketVendor, provides the underlying service and is responsible for availability, service quality, timing, fulfilment, cancellations, and customer communication.
4. Payments and manual verification
Sellers may display their own payment instructions, including bank transfer, PayPal, Revolut, Cash App, cash, or custom instructions.
PocketVendor does not automatically verify manual payments. A customer marking “I’ve paid” does not prove money has been received. Sellers must check payment themselves before confirming a booking.
5. Seller and customer responsibilities
- Sellers must provide accurate services, prices, availability, and payment instructions.
- Customers must provide accurate booking information and follow the seller’s payment process.
- Both parties must communicate respectfully and must not misuse PocketVendor.
6. Refunds, cancellations, and disputes
Refunds and cancellation terms are set by the seller unless the law requires otherwise.
PocketVendor may provide booking tools, but disputes about the underlying service or direct payment are generally between seller and customer.
7. Acceptable use
Users must follow the Acceptable Use Policy and must not use PocketVendor for illegal activity, fraud, impersonation, harassment, spam, payment abuse, or attempts to damage the platform.
8. Availability and changes
PocketVendor may update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue parts of the service where reasonably necessary.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, but we aim to keep the platform reliable and address issues appropriately.
9. Liability
PocketVendor is a software platform and is not the seller of the booked service.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, PocketVendor is not responsible for indirect losses, seller performance, or payments made directly outside PocketVendor.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the platform, law, or how the service operates.
